Fall is starting to nudge the afternoons a little cooler, and the events calendar is full of it: sound healing journeys, a neighborhood barbecue, flamenco under the sycamores, and a violinist who turns Led Zeppelin into a one-man symphony. Here is the full guide to events in Sedona September 11 through 17, covering the red rocks and the Verde Valley towns around them. Whatever your pace this week, from a quiet Sunday market to a Saturday night dance floor, there is something on this list for it.

Friday, September 11
Frequency Friday: Meditation, BioCharger & Sound Bath | 5:45 to 7:00 PM | Humankind, 1730 W State Route 89A, Sedona | $25, free for members. A weekly reset built around guided meditation, BioCharger frequency technology, and a live sound bath from a rotating roster of local practitioners. Expect crystal bowls, gongs, and handpan. Arrive a few minutes early to grab a mat spot near the front of the room.
Red Dirt Concert Series: Nolan McKelvey and Spencer Vandevier | 5:00 to 8:00 PM | Pavilion at Posse Grounds Park, Sedona | Free. This is the tenth year of the City of Sedona’s free Friday concert series, and this week brings an evening of heartfelt original Americana with electric and upright bass, guitar, and vocals. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, since seating is first come, first served on the grass around the pavilion.
Cottonwood Farmers Market at Old Town Square | 4:00 to 8:00 PM | Old Town Square, 1042 N Main St, Cottonwood | Free entry. Cottonwood’s weekly market fills Old Town’s Main Street strip with local produce, baked goods, and handmade crafts alongside the shops, bars, and restaurants already open for the evening. Park in the public lots off Main Street early, since spots fill up once the dinner crowd arrives.
Waking the Soul: A 4-Day Healing & Awakening Retreat | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, continuing through Sunday | Village Yoga Sedona, 6657 SR 179 Ste C-2, Sedona | Registration required, price varies. Facilitator Zachariah Rehder leads participants through conscious breathwork, guided inquiry, and embodiment practices over four days. It is a full immersion commitment, so this is best for visitors who have already blocked out the weekend rather than a drop-in activity.
Saturday, September 12
12th Annual VOC Community BBQ | 12:00 to 4:00 PM | Village of Oak Creek Association Park, 690 Bell Rock Blvd, Village of Oak Creek | Free. A free neighborhood cookout with live music from Sugar Moon, free ice cream, a bounce house, and a dunk tank, plus a new inflatable obstacle course for 2026. It is a family event, so plan to arrive early with the kids since the bounce house and dunk tank draw a line by early afternoon.
You Are Galactic: Activate Your DNA Now | 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM | Humankind, 1730 W State Route 89A, Sedona | $25 to $107. A full-day metaphysical workshop framed around activation and consciousness work, with general admission and VIP tiers available. This is a seated, all-day program, so bring water and comfortable clothing and expect to stay for the full session.
Manifestival: A Dance & Manifestation Experience | 8:15 to 9:30 PM | Shine Sedona, Sanctuary for the Soul, 162 Coffee Pot Drive, Sedona | About $28.52. A high-energy dance and intention-setting evening inside Shine’s crystal-altar sanctuary space, blending movement with manifestation practice. The room is intimate, so buy tickets ahead since capacity is limited.
GALACTIVATION with Sonic Fusion | 7:00 to 9:00 PM | Humankind, 1730 W State Route 89A, Sedona | $37. An immersive sound journey with gongs, handpan, and other vibrational instruments led by Sonic Fusion. Bring a blanket or cushion since most of the evening is spent lying down on the floor.
Sunday, September 13
Sedona Community Farmers Market | 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM | Wells Fargo Bank parking lot, 2201 W State Route 89A, Sedona | Free entry. Local and regional growers set up alongside artisan vendors and a rotating live music act, with seasonal produce, baked goods, and wellness products. Go early for the best produce selection since popular stalls sell out well before noon.
Flamenco Music in the Courtyard | 5:30 to 7:30 PM | Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, Patio de Las Campanas, 336 SR 179, Sedona | Free. Master guitarist Gaetano and friends perform flamenco guitar in Tlaquepaque’s courtyard, presented by El Rincon Restaurante Mexicano. Grab a table at El Rincon if you want dinner with the music, or just wander in to listen for free from the courtyard benches.
Waking the Soul Retreat | 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Village Yoga Sedona, 6657 SR 179 Ste C-2, Sedona | Registration required. Final day of the four day healing and breathwork retreat that began Thursday. Not a drop-in event, but a good marker if you are tracking retreat culture happening around town this week.
Monday, September 14
Ales on Rails | 10:30 AM to 12:45 PM, ahead of the 1:00 PM departure | Verde Canyon Railroad depot, 300 N Broadway, Clarkdale | Price varies by ticket tier. This is opening day of Verde Canyon Railroad’s fall beer tasting series, which runs daily through October 31. Guests sample local and regional beers at the Clarkdale depot before boarding the full four-hour scenic excursion through the canyon. It is a 21-and-over event, and reservations are strongly recommended since the tasting festival sells out ahead of departure.
Flamenco Music in the Courtyard | 5:30 to 7:30 PM | Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, 336 SR 179, Sedona | Free. The flamenco guitar series continues into Monday evening in the same courtyard setting. Come at 5:30 PM for the best light for photos before the courtyard lanterns take over at dusk.
Tuesday, September 15
Ales on Rails | 10:30 AM to 12:45 PM, ahead of the 1:00 PM departure | Verde Canyon Railroad depot, 300 N Broadway, Clarkdale | Price varies by ticket tier. Day two of the fall tasting series continues at the Clarkdale depot. Book online in advance, since the railroad limits the number of tasting tickets sold per departure.
Flamenco Music in the Courtyard | 5:30 to 7:30 PM | Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, 336 SR 179, Sedona | Free. The final night of this week’s three-night flamenco run at Tlaquepaque before it picks back up again next Sunday. Parking at Tlaquepaque fills up fast on weekday evenings, so use the lot off SR 179 rather than circling the courtyard entrance.
Wednesday, September 16
Pentagram String Band with Swamp Rats and Special Guest TBA | 7:30 PM | Queen B Vinyl Cafe, 102 E Pima St, Old Town Cottonwood | Price not specified, check Eventbrite. A midweek double bill of string band and roots rock at Cottonwood’s vinyl bar and live music room, set inside a converted historic church building. It is a smaller room, so buy tickets ahead if the lineup interests you rather than counting on walk-up availability.
Wednesday is otherwise a quieter day on the calendar. If you want a low-key option, the Sedona Arts Center’s “Beyond the Frame” exhibition is on view through September 27 at 15 Art Barn Road, and it is a good midweek stop for anyone touring galleries between Uptown and West Sedona.
Thursday, September 17
Fiddler on the Rock featuring Tyler Carson | Doors 5:30 PM, show at 5:45 PM | Historic Apple Barn, Sedona Heritage Museum, 735 Jordan Rd, Sedona | $55 general admission, $85 VIP. Violinist Tyler Carson builds a “one man symphony” live with loop pedals and a rare horn violin, turning everything from Led Zeppelin to Taylor Swift into cinematic soundscapes alongside his own originals. Ticket price includes museum entry, so come early and walk the orchard grounds before the show starts.
Welcome to Arizona (Comedy Showcase) | 5:00 PM | Arts Academy of Sedona, 110 Indian Cliffs Road, Sedona | Price not specified, check Eventbrite. A stand-up comedy showcase at the Arts Academy’s intimate New Room theater space. Doors typically open shortly before showtime, so plan to arrive early for good seating in the small venue.
