Super Bowl Sunday is one of those uniquely great days to be in Sedona – you can go two completely different directions and win either way. You can grab a seat, good food, and a big screen and enjoy the game with fellow fans around town – or you can take advantage of something locals know well: many of Sedona’s most popular trails tend to be noticeably less crowded during kickoff hours. I actually have an annual tradition where a few friends come up from Phoenix every Super Bowl weekend and we use that window to tackle a longer hike together. The red rocks, quieter trailheads, and cool February air make it one of our favorite hiking days of the year.
